Bobcat Ridge, A very Windy day.

What a great turn out. We hiked the Valley Loop to the cabin. What a wonderful spot to end up at. Great trees to climb and lots to explore. It was a very windy day.

The skies are just so blue it was just amazing.

Some really cute kiddos we have in the tribe!

I love the shadows in this picture.
Exploring some animal holes.

Good-bye, happy trails,

Rolland Moore/ Faery making day!!!

To see how to make these sweet fairies click below!
ones that I made before the day.
OOOOh it was a cold one and putting it in perspective probably not as cold as it will get but our bodies need to climatize for the up coming winter so it was chilly... but, still a great day out.

The kiddos where off exploring where they could. I love this walk there are so many fun places to explore and find. This is close to our home and one we do very regularly.

So the kids found this long that needed to come with us, so with lots of team work brought it all the way to where we were going to stop. I could probably guess it kept them warm.

Some of our sweet young ones keeping warm.

Having fun making the faeries. They are sweetly handcrafted out of all nature items. Most where collected prior to today. I unfortunatly have no pictures of the finished ones but they are so undeniably fun to create and are adorable...

Can you say "Soup" having some warm soup

The kids played and played in the fun spot and explored. Yes, they were climbing all around water. They built there own bridge out of the log they carried and just had a blast hiding and laughing. as us Mama's and yes, papa crafted.

and of course at the very end they were ready to make some faeries. This was a fabulous day.

and then off running again, good-bye,

hugs and happy trails,

Angela

City Park

What a fun day we had!!!! Sarah L. was so awesome to bring supplies needed to make Autumn Placemats and they turned out wonderful!! If you get the chance to do these with your kiddos do!! The kids all played for a bit before we headed out on our leaf hunt.
We decided to take a walk around the lake and hunt for different coloured and style leaves. The trees are so pretty and yummy!! I can just eat up Autumn the air was so lovely chilly in the shade but wonderful in the sun!!! That is Autumn!
Their hands stayed glued together on the basket to collect leaves!

And then the fun turn the walk took!! did someone say APPLES!!! Yes, we came across a wonderful abundant apple tree, and it was ready for some pickin"
tree climbing just isn't for the kiddos'
but, they had to get up and enjoy the fun
They were very sweet together!!!

That was fun!! then we continued on our hike for leaves and returned to make our Autumn Place Mats!!

Good-bye,

Hugs and Happy Trails,

Angela

To make placemats, you need contact paper, tissue paper and lovely Autumn Coloured leaves. I found the tissue paper works great to hold the placemat together. Put the tissue paper on a flat surface, place the leaves on top how you want it to look. Then put the contact paper on the top and smooth out. Then add another peice of contact paper on the bottom. I didn't have a camera to take pictures of the process!! Good luck and enjoy!

Running Deer Nature Hike

What a wonderful day we had!! Truly beautiful! The weather was a bit over cast in the morning but the sun came through and it was great. We had a nice breeze now and again and warm warm sun. I love Running Deer and Cottonwillow natural areas. They are specially created for wildlife and no dogs or bikers allowed. Even though it is right of a main road after a few minutes you would never even now. Nature and wildlife and wildflowers abundant! We had a good turn out and we all had a wonderful time (hopefully). It was wonderful to meet some new Mama's and their kiddos always wonderful. Our first stop was by the pier of course so the kiddos can look. They saw many fish and spider webs was a big hit on the pier.

Strolling along the walk. The sky starting to clear up. There are so many different birds singing along it is so sweet. I want to learn about different birds and their songs. One day!

I love this guy! how cool is he just hanging out taking it all in and letting me snap some cool pic's. thanks toady! Really he is awesome!!

We are starting to stop for food and chat. The kiddos of course keep exploring and coming back for some munchies then off again.

Some really cool trees and stumps to climb and play on. What Great Fun!!!!

Some rolly poll's to look out. Under the rolled stump.
So what a wonderful day! Running Deer and Cottonwood Hollow are definitely natural areas worth going on a nature hike at. So much wildlife and exploring. We might make another time to go out. To all the families thank you for making the day beautiful!!

Thanks Julie for sharing some of the awesome pic's!

hugs and Happy Trails,
Angela
